Mumbai

I was born here, grew up in the city. Visited after 5 yrs...not much has changed :))
The local people even now continue the tradiction of grafting names of Indian gods, pictures, stickers of idols, paint vehicles with hyms, behind each goods vehicle is the line 'Mera Bharat Mahan'(meaning - my country is great) etc...a way of thinking that 'God will take care of everything as long its people beleave that their country is great':))
The city never sleeps...even the Taj incident has'nt shoken them up...people in the middle of the night line up to board colourful bright victorias to take a tour of Gateway of India through busy streets.
The fact remains...that no-matter what 'there is faith and people are happy with that' :)) yeh hai mumbai meri jaan!!!

Where I find Peace

This is a place where I work from, most days, other than my studio...this is where my journey started...most inspiring, quite, amidst nature...when I am here I turn into a child...willing to explore, in continious introspection, curious yet at peace with myself...I see myself in this child :))

Portrait Series

My photography doodles seem to be going good...so finally I decided to move up one step on the ladder :)) It is time to start capturing emotions, people...which is a subject I'm most interested in. I've been capturing various facets of people's personalities in my painting artworks so far, it is time to see how I handle it through the lense :))

A child I met over a few weeks trigured me to do these series...here's what the child gave me :)) Hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did while shooting them :))

The child is most adorable! Don't you agree?

52 degrees and it still is a beautiful sight

The day it rained, I looked outside the window...it looked like one of the views from 'monet's painting'...I instantly took a picture :))
